DUBAI: Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan shared a now-viral photo of his visit to Dubai on Sunday, but the actor was not the star of the snap.

During a visit to The Dubai Mall’s aquarium, the actor snapped a picture in which he was photobombed by a pair of divers.
“It was just the fish & me...till these photo bombers floated in,” he captioned the shot which has more than 600,000 likes on Instagram as of Monday."

He will “shine a light on the multidimensional and multicultural character” of Dubai in the upcoming promo, according to a Dubai Media Office statement.
“I am not an advocate for Dubai because I have done Dubai Tourism films, I genuinely like being in Dubai, I think it’s a really wonderful place, it’s a fantastic city…It has everything for everyone,” Khan said in a statement.

Shah Rukh Khan to play a soldier in war film based on Operation Khukri. What is Operation Khukri?

Shah Rukh Khant to play a fauji again.

Shah Rukh Khan's home production Red Chillies Entertainment's next will be war film based on Indian Army and Indian Air Force's rescue operation 'Operation Khukri' in Africa.

Shah Rukh Khan will play a fauji in his next home production, just on a bigger scale. Red Chillies Entertainment’s next film will be based on Indian Army and Indian Air Force’s Operation Khukri in Africa. A Mumbai Mirror report suggests that this is among the most expensive projects Shah Rukh’s production house has undertaken.

“It has been researched extensively and will be mounted on a really large scale. It will be a true depiction of a massive military operation and will celebrate our heroes. The director and cast are being finalised, the film will roll later this year. It will be shot in real locations in Africa with some real armed combat battle scenes,” a source from Red Chillies Entertainment was quoted in the report. The source also added that the team has spent a lot of time in developing the script in association with Azure Entertainment.
It seems like making war films is that latest trend in Bollywood. Last year, Akshay Kumar did Airlift that was based on an Indian businessman’s effort to rescue more than 170,000 stranded Indians in Kuwait after Iraq invaded Kuwait in August 1990. This year also, the audience saw Rangoon. Salman Khan-starrer Tubelight is also based on Indo-Sino war.

What is Operation Khukri?

Operation Khukri was carried out in a tropical forest in Sierra Leone, West Africa in 2000. It was a mission to rescue around 223 peacekeepers of India who were sent to Sierra Leone by United Nations to help the government there in tackling Revolutionary United Front (RUF), a rebel group. Major (now Lt Col) Harinder Sood led the operation and around 120 IAF officers were flown from Indian to Africa for the same. The team was able to rescue all the peacekeepers.

Anushka Sharma-Virat Kohli relationship

There's no doubt that Indian Cricket Team Captain Virat Kohli and versatile actress Anushka Sharma is one of the hottest couples in town. The rumoured lovers make heads turn every time they hit the city together, and their recent lunch date in Bengaluru proved to be no different. Sushant Singh Rajput-starrer 'Romeo Akbar Walter' to be shot in Kashmir

For decades Kashmir has been a favourite location for Bollywood's movie moguls. Innumerable films, from 'Kashmir Ki Kali' and 'Highway' to 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan', have been filmed in the Valley.

However, ever since militancy took root there, the shoots have been few and far between. And after last year's September 18 raid on an army camp in which 17 Indian soldiers were killed, filmmakers have been avoiding the state. Now, Mirror has learnt that Sushant Singh Rajput's upcoming espionage thriller, 'Romeo Akbar Walter' aka RAW, set in 1971 against the backdrop of a prelude to the 1972 Indo-Pak war, will not only feature Kashmir extensively but will also be shot there.

Priyanka Chopra plans to bring Rabindranath Tagore’s love story on the big screen

Priyanka Chopra made her passion towards cinema more evident by producing National Award winning film like 'Ventilator'. And now the multi-faceted actress is all set to produce a Bengali-Marathi bi-lingual, 'Nalini'.

The movie is based on the love story between the Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore and Annapurna. Set in the backdrop of 1878, when Tagore was 17 and staying with Dr Atmaram Padurang Turkhud in Mumbai. Annapurna was Dr Atmaram's 20-year-old daughter who stole Rabindranath Tagore's heart away.

Annapurna had just returned from London, and because of flawless command over English, she became Rabindranath Tagore's tutor, and as the classes progressed, their intimacy grew too. It was after Annapurna's persistence that he gave her the name Nalini, and their love was so strong that he wrote a dedicated poem for her and even composed music for it too.

Deepika feels being referred to as Priyanka is racism!

Recently, Deepika Padukoneopened up about the multiple times when the foreign media chose to be ignorant by calling her, Priyanka Chopra.

Speaking during an event, she said, " It's not just me who should be offended, but each one of you should also be offended because it's not just ignorance but alsoracism. Two people of similar colour are not the same people. So, you as fellow Indians should be calling them out and educating them. Instead of encouraging it, you should be educating them. "

Not just that, but the A-list actress of Bollywood was referred as "leggy brunette" when she went to dine with the Tennis star Novak Djokovic in Los Angeles.

Priyanka also backed Deepika Padukone and called the foreign media ignorant and said " That's just ignorance and I feel really bad. It's not right. I guess I am the most popular brown face but guys, every brown girl does not look the same. That was not fair and she is a massive star from India. "

Priyanka and Deepika have both made a mark in Bollywood and Hollywood and since Deepika is comparatively new to the foreign media, she is facing troubles gaining more popularity. However, we are sure that our 'Padmavati' will soon get her set of crazy fans in the West too.

‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’: Times when the S.S. Rajamouli epic made headlines

‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ has taken the country by storm since its release on April 28, and has already amassed over Rs 1000 Crore, thus becoming the highest grossing Indian film. Apart from Prabhas and Rana Daggubati being lauded for their performance, another actor who earned great praise was Ramya Krishnan for playing the queen mother Sivagami. According to reports, Sridevi was initially offered to play the role of the strong and brave royal but she turned down the part, citing remuneration differences. With the phenomenal success of the film, this film will surely feature on Sridevi's list of 'missed opportunities'. Rubbing salt on her wound was filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma who questioned the actress about her decision to decline the offer.

The maverick director took to Twitter questioning Sridevi why she rejected this golden opportunity and added that she would have won more accolades than leading man Prabhas. RGV said, "I really wonder why @SrideviBKapoor did not do Bahubali 2? What a super outstanding film it would have been for her illustrious career. If @SrideviBKapoor did Bahubali2 she would have gotten more credit than Prabhas it being her very next film after English Vinglish.”

In a strange turn of events, fans found themselves agreeing to Varma's tweet. It remains to be seen if Sridevi responds to this in any way.
