Gujarat Lions cruised to a seven-wicket win over Rising Pune Supergiant during Friday's Indian Premier League action, courtesy of a stunning bowling performance from Andrew Tye.
The debutant stole the show in Rajkot, taking five wickets on his way to the best figures of this year's IPL so far, per ESPNcricinfo:
As shared by Broken Cricket, his fine showing was a welcome sight for Lions, who have struggled with the ball so far:

Gujarat Lions vs. Rising Pune Supergiants
Lions, 172 for three (McCullum 49, Smith 47) beat Supergiant, 171 for eight (Smith 43, Tripathi 33) by seven wickets (with 12 balls remaining)
Pune knew they were in for a tough outing when they lost star opener Ajinkya Rahane for a duck, and things didn't improve afterward as Lions cruised to an easy win.
Credit deserves to go to the bowlers, led by Tye, who put together quite the show on his debut. The Australian took the wicket of Rahul Tripathi in his first over and added a hat-trick in the final over for the first five-wicket outburst of this year's IPL.
Tripathi and Steven Smith (43 from 28) did their best to boost Supergiant's total, but the target of 172 seemed quite manageable for Lions' talented group of batsmen. Openers Dwayne Smith (47 from 30) and Brendon McCullum (49 from 32) quickly got to work, starting the chase in fine fashion.
Per cricket writer Ayaz Memon, things did not look good for Pune after the powerplay:
Suresh Raina and Aaron Finch took care of business the rest of the way, both finishing with more than 30 runs to complete the chase with plenty of balls to spare.
The win is Gujarat's first, while Pune drop to last place in the standings following the defeat.
