Live IPL 2017, MI vs DD in Mumbai, cricket scores and updates: Mishra removes Krunal; Mumbai in trouble

In-form Mumbai Indians will look to exploit their home conditions when they take on Delhi Daredevils in an Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Wankhede Stadium on Saturday.

Sitting at the top with five wins in six matches, Mumbai will look for their sixth consecutive win in the ongoing edition as the home side seems superior to the visiting side on current form and paper.

The Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai had a nagging concern about the non-performance of their top-order -- but it also clicked in the last match against Punjab.

Mumbai's middle-order batsmen, especially Nitish Rana, Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya, have been in prime form.

The bowling department seemed balanced as Mumbai have a bunch of experienced bowlers in their line-up.

Veteran pacer Harbhajan Singh has been fantastic in the first six overs, while Lasith Malinga and Jasprit Bumrah have been consistent in the death overs. Mitchell McClenaghan has also provided the breakthroughs at the crucial moments.

On the other hand, Delhi, who are currently at the fourth spot with two wins and three losses, lost their last match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) despite a good performance.

Packed with young batsmen like Sam Billings, Sanju Samson, Karun Nair and Shreyas Iyer, the Zaheer Khan-led Delhi's strength lies in their array of talented seam-bowling all-rounders.

Bowlers like Chris Morris, Corey Anderson, Angelo Mathews and Pat Cummins provide the depth and balance to the side. But the exciting team sometimes faces an absence of a pivot around which the team will bat.

So, in the clash, Delhi will be eyeing a win this time to regain their winning

19:50 hrs IST: That’s it. Thank you for joining. Do catch our live coverage of Mumbai Indians vs Delhi Daredevils here

Dhoni (Man of the Match): “It was a difficult one. But it was important that since we had strikers in the back of the innings, it was important we take Rashid out of the game. And one side we can hit with the breeze. One side can always hit with it. You can’t always win games like this. I think we did very well. Manoj contributed, which was very important because he didn’t eat too many deliveries. There is no run-rate tha is high. It boils down to how well the opposition bowlers execute. So seven, eight, nine, ten, doesn’t matter. What matters is keeping your calmness.”

Smith: “Got pretty close towards the end there. MS did what he’s done for such a long period of time. When he’s under pressure, he comes through more often than not. Probably thought it was a 160-165 wicket. We probably didn’t execute our plans as well as we would have liked. Moises and Hooda played well too. Tripathi was very good at the top there. These are big five games for us. If we can keep playing like that, and climb up the ladder it will be nice.”

Begum Jaan actor Gauahar Khan: Crimes against women will continue if we don’t make stricter laws

Begum Jaan also stars Vidya Balan, Pallavi Sharda, Naseeruddin Shah, Rajit Kapur and Ashish Vidyarthi.

Gauahar Khan, who plays a sex worker named Rubina in Begum Jaan, said women are more vocal now but the scenario and mindset of a section of people need to change.

Actor Gauahar Khan believes violence against women will continue if the central government and the judiciary don’t formulate stricter laws.

“…if the government and the law do not make stricter rules for the kind of crimes that are happening against women, we can keep talking… but it’s going to continue if we don’t make stricter rules”, she said during the announcement of the Indian Fashion League here.

Gauahar essays a sex worker named Rubina in Begum Jaan. The actor was asked about her views on the position of women in India.

Begum Jaan is an adaptation of Bengali film “Rajkahini”, helmed by Srijit Mukherji. It released on April 14, and has spurred a debate on discrimination against women.

Gauahar Khan said women are more vocal now but the scenario and mindset of a section of people need to change.

Asked for her take on fashion, she said fashion for her is subjective and style is personal.

Batting for comfort, Gauahar Khan said: “I will not wear something just because it’s trending or looks good on someone else” — be it even casuals like jeans and T-shirts.

“You could be the best fashion designer in the world but if it does not suit my body type and I’m not convinced about how it looks on me, I will not wear it.”

Gauahar had earlier said that the experience of doing the film was liberating as the cast had the freedom to create their own backstories for the character.

“We all had a workshop a month before we went on set. We had the liberty to create our own back stories for the characters and on the basis of that, our connection with each other. Where I come from, how did I reach the brothel, what is my relationship with Gulaabo (essayed by Pallavi Sharda). All that was determined pre-shoot,” Gauahar said.
